From Drawing to Product
The craftykittenlove cat is a combination of Mittens, TLC, Oscar, and Minka. They are the ones I have the best memories of. While Mittens and Minka are no longer here, TLC and Oscar continue to bring about amusing mishaps and a s you can see below, each cat (except for TLC) has gotten its own fabric design and a finished product. Each fabric design starts with a sketch. From there the sketch becomes a drawing, a scene, a color, and a product that will come from that sketch. It is a big deal to do this. Custom fabric is expensive. There is no such thing as red dot clearance in the custom fabric world. But, I feel like this step encompasses who I am as both an artist and crafter. Here is a sneak peak into what I will be making this spring. TLC's fabric is sitting on my counter, waiting to be washed, ironed, and then cut to size. During a time that feels so dark, we all need some TLC in our lives.
